Spiderman 1 analysis trailer

 Spider-man 1:

Plot:
Spider-man first of all is a 2002 superhero film directed by Sam Raimi. Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, the film stars Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker, a high school student living in New York, who turns to crime fighting after developing spider-like super powers. high-school senior Peter Parker visits a  laboratory with his friend Harry Osborn and romantic love interest, Mary Jane Watson for a school field trip. When he arrives , Peter is bitten on the hand by a genetically engineered "super spider". Shortly after arriving home to his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, he goes unconscious. Meanwhile, Harry's father, scientist Norman Osborn, owner of Oscorp, is attempting to preserve his company's important military contract. He experiments on himself with a new but unstable performance-enhancing chemical vapor that increases his speed, strength, and stamina. However, it also drives him insane and he kills his assistant, Mendel Stromm. The next morning, Peter finds that his previously impaired vision has improved and his body has transformed into a more muscular and powerful physique. At school, he finds that his body can produce webs and his quickened reflexes let him avoid injury during a confrontation with bully Flash Thompson. Peter discovers he has developed superhuman speed, strength, the ability to stick to surfaces, and a heightened ability to sense danger. This proves very useful and eventually he partakes in a bit of wrestling to gain money to get a car to impress Mary Jane however after a misunderstanding between him and his uncle. uncle Ben is murdered, which leaves him with a valuable life lesson and the heart of whom he is "With great power comes great responsibility".

Mise-En-Scene:
The movie of spider man is set in New York, originally the producers and directors were going to include the twin towers in the production of spider man however after 9/11 this was decided against. The scenery includes many buildings in new York. The famous newspaper building the daily bugle is also shown numerous times throughout the film. there are different props and costumes such as peters famous spider man costume, in the movie it has a red and black webbing texture to it and is meant to resemble a spider - as peter has all the similar powers of a spider so this is both effective and relevant. also there is scenery of the park resembling central park in new York.

Camera shots/angles:
the different camera angles and shots in spider man 1 are varied.  there is close-up shots of peter parkers face being shown in a interesting facial expression, while there are also high-angle shots were peter first discovers his powers and is jumping over the rooftops, the camera shows the angle below the building, this is done very effectively and beautifully as to create a escapism effect.

Editing:
the editing within the movie is done accurately and smoothly in some scenes where peter is spider man the swinging action is edited to make it look realistic such as when hes swinging through the city, and when he does back flips it is edited from one slow motion shot to suddenly normal speed, they had to change the frames per second.

Coach carter analysis trailer

Coach carter trailer analysis:

Plot:
the movie of coach carter  takes place in California, USA in Richmond high school based on the real life high school with the same name. Coach Ken Carter takes over the head coaching job for the basketball team at his old high school Richmond, having played on the team himself and earning records. The Coach Carter witnesses the fact that the athletes are rude and disrespectful, and are in need of discipline. He hands the players individual contracts, instructing them to attend all of their classes, wear dress shirts and ties on game days, refer to everyone as "sir", and earn a minimum 2.3  grade point average. Carter also asks the school staff for progress reports on the players' grades and attendance. This proves to be well done as it greatly impacts the different players and their individual story lives.

Mise En Scene:
coach carter takes place in California, USA it has rural settings and scenes within the movies, such as showing the rough neighborhoods in the USA. It also shows a basketball setting and details the different aspects of basketball and the different tactics. it also shows a high school setting, which is actually based on a real life high school, the high school has the same props as a real life high school such as lockers, and different people walking across the corridors, as well as the main cast of course.

Camera angles and shots:
there are several different camera shots and angles within the movie of coach carter, there were close up shots of Samuel l Jackson's facial expression when he pinned Timo Cruz against the wall and said "I ain't your teacher I'm your basketball coach". and also the players expressions when being told what to do by carter it shows close-shot angles of their distraught faces. there were also high-angle shots from the seats of the basketball stadium from a audience's point of view when the basketball matches were shown and in play. The shots were effective in my opinion because it showed a variety of different shots and were timed effectively to fit the theme of the film.

Editing:
there is editing within coach carter for example there is a scene in the movie where Timo Cruz is asked by the coach what his deepest fear is and the shot cuts from his Bewildered facial expression to the other players doing suicides and push ups on the basketball stadium.

superman vs batman dawn of justice trailer

Superman vs batman trailer analysis:

Background: The superman vs batman movie is an upcoming superhero film featuring the DC comics character batman and superman, it is distributed by Warner bros pictures. and is intended to be the follow-up to the 2013 movie man of steel however it is not a direct sequel to the movie but rather a different story. The film is directed by Zack Snyder, with a screenplay written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, the movie stars notable actors and actresses as the cast within the movie including, Ben affleck, Henry cavil, Amy Adams, Jesse eisenberg, Diane lane, Laurence fishburne, Jeremy irons, Holly Hunter and Gal Gadot.

the movie itself was first introduced to the public at large in 2013 at the San-Diego-comic con international.

Mise-en-Scene:
Within the movie superman vs batman in the trailer the scenery dictates a dark Gotham city compared to a shining, glittering metropolis, this is referenced by Jesse eisenberg (who plays Lex Luthor), in a quote in the trailer he says "god vs man", "day vs night". This suggests batman's affiliation and close nature of being symbolized by the dark, aggression, and scare tactics, in comparison to a more mild-mannered superman who has powers comparable to a god therefore does not need this same approach and mentality towards crime-fighting .

The Mise-en-scene within the film also shows a reference to a batman cartoon/show in the 90s with batman in a stance with the thunder coming down. there is also scenes which show a dessert atmosphere and soldiers with superman's renowned s logo on their uniforms, this suggests that superman may be treated as a deity in the near future and have his own army as such.

Camera composition:
the camera angles in the movie suggest different angles and shots from the city and batman and superman, for example there is this one camera angle from a high angle shot which dictates the entire city of Gotham in its glory, another shot is batman avoiding possibly doomsday's heat vision attack and in a flash shows a reference to a iconic 90s batman TV series, this was said as intentional as zack Snyder himself has said this and wanted to make sure the movie would be a great movie with new scenes but also use influence from previous works of art, such as the batman in this movie being based on frank millers story-line for batman. Another iconic angle shot is a mid-shot from the crowd as superman flies down to deal with the case of being considered too powerful he looks at the federal office, with a despair facial expression and so his superhero outfit is seen and this portrays superman as a deity again. Another shot is where Lois is narrating and says "this is all that people have, all that gives them hope". In this shot people are reaching their hand out to get help from superman, but he doesn't seem particularly helping, this suggests that in the story line he might be having thoughts of doubt about what he is really meant to do with his incredible powers.

within the movie the sound of the different effects, it uses Asynchronous sound such as the slashing of wolverines adamantium claws sync perfectly with the images shown in the movie. and diegetic and non diegetic sounds such as when Xavier is speaking of what wolverine must do this is a perfect example of non-diegetic sound.
