Sky High movie analysis

Sky High Movie Trailer Analysis:

Overview: Sky high is a notable american comedy film which was directed and released to the audience in the year 2005. it centres around a bunch of teenage kids who are genetically born and gifted with different super-powers, such as flight, super strength, speed and many more. The director for the film was Mike Mitchell, and the starring cast for the movie include Michael angaro, Danielle panabaker, Kurt Russell and Kelly Preston. The film was fairly successful at box office, however didn't have enough success for sequels. The movie itself sky high is a movie which is mainly targeted at a younger audience as kids themselves will be inspired or motivated by seeing teenagers with super powers such as being super strong, or super fast and they will want to gain this power themselves, or even mimic the sort of action which comes along with the movie.

Mise En Scene: Within the movie it is set in a fictional high school called sky high, the school itself is on a bunch of clouds, floating in the sky, the scenery therefore shows the sky and clouds, an almost fantastical view from above, this is done well, as it gives the audience a sense of escapism wanting to escape from their daily lives, as imagining what life would be like living in the school would be great fun. The movie also contains many decorations around in the school which showcase the fact that it is a school for superheroes, and makes sure that the target audience viewing the movie don't get mixed up and think that it is a ordinary school.

we also see other scenery such as the typical American high school bus prop and we see typical teenagers within the high school as they a part of the film. as well as that we seel a typical suburban setting for the main protagonists home, this makes it seem like he is well-off and rich compared to the rest of his peers. mainly we see typical American middle class setting for this, however at the same time the creators and producers made it certain that there was to be no mix-up between this American made film and british films which usually include poor-lower backgrounds.

What we found out about the plot:
the plot predominantly is about a highschool kid who has super-powered parents who have all these incredible powers such as super-strength, super-speed, invulnerability and flight, while the kid( the main protagonist), does not have these powers to start off with anyway, he develops them later on in the film.
